I wasn’t handed a business — I built one.
Forestry runs in my blood. I learned at a young age, that what you build matters, and how you build it matters even more.
But my journey didn’t start with equipment, contracts, or security. It started with struggle. I’ve faced homelessness. I’ve faced doubt. I’ve faced the kind of setbacks that test who you really are. There were moments when quitting would have been easier. I chose not to.
I founded Savage Timber because I believe in hard work, stewardship, and resilience. Logging isn’t just an industry to me — it’s legacy, responsibility, and proof that strength is forged through adversity. I believe in sustainable practices, in protecting communities through defensible space, and in leaving the land better for the next generation.
Most of all, I built this company to show my children — and anyone watching — that your circumstances do not define your future. Your work ethic does. Your perseverance does. Your refusal to stay down does.
